The chapter is co-host to the 89th Anniversary Eastern Regional Conference.
Host chapter Kappa Beta Sigma along with Xi Epsilon and Alpha Alpha Phi chapters put on one of the best conferences that can be remembered in the region.
One of the highligts of the conference was the awards banquet. The honorees were the Rev. Al. Sharpton (Social Action Award), Mr. Luther Gathling (Bigger and Better Business), Bro. Kevin West Chi Sigma (Education), and the Rev. Timothy Wright (Lifetime Achievement).

Beta Lambda started sponsoring a child in Africa. His name is Tesfahun Shiferaw. He is 6 years old, and he lives in Ethopia. His parents sell food items on the side of the road, but it is not enough for his family. Their total family income is less than $400 dollars a year. Beta Lambda past and present support this project

Beta Lambda sponsored a forum on poltical prisoners. The key note speaker was Mr. S.E. Anderson. Mr. Anderson is an Education Director at Medgar Evers College. He was a co-founder of the Black Panthers, a member of the Student Non-Violent Committee.

Beta Lambda, Kappa Beta Sigma (Brooklyn Alumni), Alpha Alpha Phi (Medgar Evers College) fed the needy at the Salvation Army Citadel in Brooklyn.

The Chapter assisted in organizing the annual celebration of Black Solidarity Day.

The chapter in conjunction with the Blue and White Society sponsored a Pan-Hellenic forum.

Clothing Drive
The Blue and White Society and the chapter collected clothes for a month. The clothes were donated to the Partnership for the Homeless.

The Blue & White Society in conjunction with Beta Lambda Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. presents Gospel Night featuring a battle of the Brooklyn high school choirs. Gershwin Theatre at Brooklyn College, 7PM, all proceeds donated to the Tondaleyo Alfred Scholarship.

Founders' Day Ceremony - Medgar Evers College, hosted by the Sigma-Zeta Committee of Greater New York. Guest speaker Eastern Regional Director, Brother Marvin "Doc" Cheatham. Past Grand Basileus Soror Dr. Edith V. Francis featured guest speaker. Congressman Charles Schulmer, U.S. Representative, NY-8th Congressional District (D) offered greetings and solicitations. Founders' Day Committee includes Brother Craig Collins, Chairperson, Soror Candace Keeby, Corresponding Secretary, Soror Belinda Diercks, and Soror Cecilia Prichard. Sigma-Zeta Committee includes Soror Tamona Tigner, Co-Chair, Brother Harrison Gordon, Co-Chair, Soror Beverly Humphreys, Treasurer, Soror Nicole Clendon, Financial Secretary, Brother Damon Fauconier, Community Service Chairperson, Brother Baurch Yehudah, Law & Revision Chairperson, Brother Desmond Stanford, Picnic Chairperson, and Soror Felicia Durant.

The ladies of the Sigma Star Court burst on to the scene on this date. They have a total of 22 young ladies out of 100 aspiring to be the first Sigma Stars of Beta Lambda.

After a brief period of being inactivated, Beta Lambda Chapter was brought back by Bro. Greville French (Theta Gamma Chapter).

50th Anniversary Founders’ Day – Carver Memorial Dinner at McDonald’s Dining Room, Macon Street and Stuyvesant Avenue, sponsored jointly by Beta Lambda and Kappa Beta Sigma chapters. Speakers of the evening were Bro. Huston Lovell, Esq., Past National President of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., who delivered the Founders’ Day Address, and Bro. Morris Haynes, Dean of Pledges, Beta Lambda Chapter, delivered the Carver Memorial Address. The Beta Lambda Chapter Education Award was presented to Soror Almira Coursey, eighth grade advisor at J.H.S. 258, Brooklyn, and a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority. A Service Award was given to Beta Lambda Vice-President, Bro. Bernard Johnson. The Kappa Beta Sigma Chapter Awards were presented to each of the committee chairmen: Bro. Thomas Ellington, Bigger and Better Business, the community award to Mr. Duke Colehurst of the D & C Superette which is owned by Mr. Colhurst and Mr. Chester Wiltshire. The successful business venture was established in 1958. Receiving the chapter award was Bro. Joseph Anderson of the Dun Rite Pharmacy.
